Excellent lunch specials on both sushi and hibachi meals, great service, always get the order 100% right on over 10 orders so far, food is fresh, tasty and cooked properly. The Hibachi meal is 2 meals even for a big eater!

Not a fan of their cooked rolls (or anything fried for that matter).
My husband and I have always been fans of this place because he was able to get hibachi and I was able to get sushi. Once I got pregnant, my ability to eat raw fish went out the window so I had to transition to cooked rolls. I've had great experiences with cooked rolls at other sushi places so we decided to come here for dinner and introduce two of our friends.
I am normally super picky about where I bring people because I feel like it is my duty to choose a place where we will be guaranteed a good time. Usually this means a place with over 4 stars on Yelp. Even though this place has 3 1/2 stars I figured with our past good experiences I'd let it slide. This was definitely a mistake. Although I hate lowering my rating based on one bad experience, this one was probably bad enough that we won't be back for a while.
SERVICE: Definitely two stars for service. My friend brought a bottle of wine and asked if there was a corkage fee. Our waitress seemed flustered and questioned what corkage meant. We changed the question to could we open a bottle of wine that we brought and she said sure. Later she came back and told us her manager said it would be $10. Yep, that's what a corkage fee is. So she then proceeds to open the bottle and breaks half the cork. She basically pulled out half the cork and pushed the other half into the wine - and this was not an inexpensive bottle of wine. The waitress then kept trying to blame the bottle and said she herself opens a bottle of wine almost every night and this has never happened before. We ended up having to pour the wine into a plastic pitcher to try to make sure there weren't any bits of cork in it. On our bill they comped half the corkage fee. I suppose it's because she was able to get out half the cork? What's weird is they put the corkage fee on both bills. I'm used to paying a corkage fee per bottle, not a corkage fee per bill so in the end even with half of it comped we paid $10. Just bizarre. The bad service didn't end there. Even though we ordered appetizers all the food came at the same time. Our waitress told us that the kitchen staff wasn't on the ball that day. I don't know if she was trying to deflect blame but it came off sounding odd.
FOOD: Stay away from any rolls that are fried. I got the Spider Roll and the Jaguar Roll. Both came out deeply fried. I'm used to lightly fried rolls, but the Jaguar Roll was fried to the point that it looked like a roll that you get at a cheap buffet. The soft shell crab in the Spider Roll was also deeply fried. The ends looked like fried blobs. It was pretty unappetizing. I'm still a fan of their fried rice and happily ate some of my husband's hibachi. We "started" with the shrimp gyoza which was also deeply fried. I would just steer away from anything fried. My friends did say that the spicy salmon roll they ordered was good and I've enjoyed raw fish from here before.
Overall it was kind of embarrassing to introduce people here for the first time when service was that bad. If you need a place that is dependable enough to always impress, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I probably won't be back until I can eat raw fish again. -

Honestly it was just okay.
We came in with a Groupon for $30 worth of food. They have a sign on the door that says 2 for 1 all day so we were super pumped. We ordered 2 speciality rolls for $17 (or so we thought) and a soup and salad. The rolls turned out not to be 2 for $17 instead $14-15 each because we had a Groupon. Really wish our server would of told us that in advance. The beers were also more expensive than we thought, $6.99 each so $3.50 each which I feel like is regular price so that was a bit annoying as well. The sushi was okay nothing special. I won't be visiting again unfortunately. -

***UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM***
Lots of good reviews for here which is really puzzling for me. But I'm gonna have to agree with Megan R. A not so good dinning experience.
We came like mid-afternoon/early dinner. It was so dark in there and black and red decor so it looks like a bunch of vampires are like hiding some where in there. The place was huge too. Big area for larger parties. Which is nice. But like I said. Real dark in there. When you walk to the bathroom it's a huge dark hallway and looks like some werewolves are gonna jump out from behind corners and get you. Can't imagine the place at night.
But really the food. I got Chicken Alfraiddoe, because you scared to eat it. Not but the chicken Alfredo sauce wasn't desirable. I've had a lot of alfredo sauce, some great some bad, some not to bad. I wasn't a fan of this sauce at all. So they gave me like 4 chicken cutlets which was pretty sick. Then I bit into it and I was like naaah. You could tell it was prefrozen. Worst part was they must've like stacked them by 2's when they cooked them. So there was a gross lair of like frozen chicken juice grossness in between the not cooked all the way chicken.
Pasta was cooked perfectly though!
Fiancé got sushi. Which she loves. She even loves bad sushi. So this must've been awful because she hated it.
UPDATE
So the owner reached out to me and apologized and gave me a $25 gift card to return and try it again. Well we took a couple weeks but we went back and I have to say. It was 100% a totally different place. Every single table was full. There was music playing. The atmosphere was awesome. It was a totally different place I can't say that enough. What a massive difference. Anyways. I tried my first Gyoza while we were there and that was very good. Their sushi is also priced extremely well. 2 pretty big specialty rolls for $16.99. Only thing about that is they cut the rolls to small and uneven in my opinion but it was really good regardless. The sushi is delicious. Like I said just cut small/uneven. I haven't been back since but I will return thanks to the second experience. -
